Who We Are
Background of the Organisation
Volunteers Welfare for Community Based Care of Zambia acronym as VOWAZA is a voluntary non – governmental organization whose goal is to promote health, quality education and sustainable development. Its programming includes advocacy, research, capacity building and service delivery. VOWAZA was founded in 2013 by a group of dedicated social workers with a strong motivation to fighting injustice and promoting human rights.
The focus of VOWAZA is on community development through the participation of its own people. The role of VOWAZA is strengthening and empowering the communities to perceive their own problems/needs, and to solve them through collective action and participation in planning and implementation of programmes and projects at VOWAZA.

To promote and enhance the capabilities of children, youth and women through community- based initiatives that seek to improve their lives for a better living.

Our Story
Here at Volunteers Welfare for Community Based Care of Zambia (VOWAZA), we’re committed to investing our expertise and resources in order to further achieve our cause. Since 2013, we’ve been supporting the needy people by
way of providing the welfare amenities like educational support,
rehabilitation, Health and nutrition on charitable manner in a variety of ways and measuring our success not by monetary size, but by more qualitative measurements such as the scale and effectiveness of our efforts. Just imagine what we can achieve together!
